Golden Miller

Our Victorian stables have been skilfully and beautifully converted into four holiday homes which are grouped around an attractive brick-paved courtyard. Colourful planters and trellis define the courtyard area for each holiday home, each area with own table and chairs. Additional facilities include a shared barbeque and a separate communal well-equipped laundry/boot room. This houses a washing machine, dryer and sink plus a large freezer. There are also informative books and maps. Car parking is to the rear of the courtyard.

Each holiday home is entered by a delightful stable-type door. Inside, there are high ceilings and exposed beams, retaining the warmth and character of the original building, while providing modern facilities, including Wi-Fi. The tariff includes good quality linen and towels, hairdryer, electricity, hot water and oil-fired central heating, with many homely touches plus refreshments on your arrival. All bedrooms have their own well-appointed ensuite facilities.

All four of our holiday homes are delightful and comfortable rural havens from which you can explore the Suffolk coast and countryside. Visitors can explore and enjoy our arboretum, small museum, and farm walks right from their doorstep. For those less mobile Fleetwood offers accommodation which has been specially designed for disabled / wheelchair use.

Golden Miller is named after the famous 1930's racehorse who won both the Cheltenham Gold Cup and the Grand National in 1934; it is said that he was stabled here. There is a double bedroom (5ft bed) with ensuite bathroom (with shower over the bath), and a twin room (3ft beds) with ensuite shower room. One small dog accepted but not allowed on furniture and must be on lead in courtyard.

From the courtyard step into the light and airy open plan living area with its quality furnishings including Freeview TV with DVD player, dining table and chairs, ample seating and music centre. Exposed studwork along one wall. A window overlooks own area of the courtyard with additional window overlooking the working farmyard. In addition to the central heating there is an electric wood burner effect stove.

The range of units in the well-equipped kitchen includes an electric cooker, microwave, toaster, fridge and dishwasher as well as wall units. Roof light.

Double bedroom (5ft bed) with two bedside tables and other bedroom furniture. Two windows both overlook own area of the courtyard. The ensuite bathroom includes a shower over the bath and roof light.

Twin bedroom with 3ft beds, central table and other bedrooom furniture. Window overlooks courtyard. Ensuite shower room with exposed studwork.
